SOFIA COPPOLA TO DIRECT THE GODFATHER PART IV AND V!!!

Sofia Coppola and Milo Ventimiglia (Rocky Balboa) to direct and star in a fourth and fifth film, respectively. Both movies will be penned by William Monahan (The Departed), and based on the sequel novels written by Mark Winegardner. The fourth film, The Godfather Returns, will be the first sequel without Mario Puzos infamous name in the title. The fifth sequel, The Godfathers Revenge, will be filmed back-to-back next fall. None of the original cast members will reprise their signature characters that skyrocketed them to fame because Sofia says, My dad (Francis Ford Coppola) and I feel enough time has passed to allow new blood bring these iconic characters back to the big screen. So no need to trouble Al (Pacino), Andy (Garcia), or Diane (Keaton). Sofia went on to say that her dad will only produce both pictures, but will not intervene in the creative process because he wants this to be her contribution to the family recipe.
